Destination Database
This is the exchange destination database for the schools of technology (CHEM, ELEC, ENG and SCI). Here you can search for information on exchange oportunities, if you study in one of these schools.
Please select the search criteria 'Open for applications (active)' to find out which destinations are open during the on-going application period. If the destination is marked as 'silent' it means that there are no seats available in the current application round.
Due to ongoing exchange agreement renewals and the COVID-19 situation,
the exchange placements for AY2023-24 can change later. This means that
changes in placements are unfortunately possible even after the
selection round and it may be that some exchanges must be cancelled.
Please check the latest information from Destination Database during the
application period.
Information on destinations will be updated by the beginning of each application round. Please note that number of seats is always subject to change and dependent on the mutual agreement with the partner university.
The seats available for each destination are generally numbers for one term exchanges. Please check with the coordinator if you wish to apply for the whole academic year. In the autumn application round (DL 20 Sep) the number of seats available can be different.
Please check the information for exchange students on the destination university’s web page. There you will always find the most up-to-date instructions!
Most exchange periods are realized through exchange programmes such as
Erasmus (Europe) and Nordtek (Nordic countries). Another way to go
abroad is through the bilateral agreements made between Aalto University
and/or schools of technology and the host university.
The application deadlines are:
20th September
30th November
31st January
